Savannah, St Marys, and Georgia State Parks

Savannah, Georgia at Creekfire RV Resort

Creekfire doesn't allow you to choose a specific site but we were pleased to be in the newer section on site 149. The site is a couple of rows back from the pool area. It's also on a row that has afternoon shade in the patio area.

St Marys, Georgia

We stayed at our usual, KOA Jacksonville North. We found out they have been sold or taken back by corporate or something. Anyway, things are in the process of changing. We had a lot of rain on one of our nights and many were flooded but our site wasn't too bad. Happy 38th anniversary!

General Coffee State Park

I thought we had never stayed in this park but I found a campground sheet for it when we got home. I really don't remember anything about a previous trip. We enjoyed our stay here and will come back again (and maybe remember having been here before!). We were in site 13. We did discover a terrible broken part on the RV here. We were able to do a temporary fix until we can find someone to weld a new part for us.

Georgia Veterans State Park

We've avoided this park because it's too close to home and is operated as part of a resort. The price is a resort price but the campground is a basic state park campground. I expect much more for the money. We did ride our bikes and were able to ride the SAM shortline train.

They really need someone to check everything that is written! This is one small example!
