Panama City Beach August 2010

The end of August we went to Panama City Beach and camped at St Andrews State Park. Our site was 10. We had water access from our site but it was pretty muddy/silty there. The trip turned out to be different from any other trip to PCB. In the three and a half days we were there, three people drowned in three different spots, on three different days, and three different times of day. The water was much rougher than any of pictures indicate. Our first afternoon had the beach closed because of jelly fish. The first full day had bad weather and canceled Scuba. We've never had diving canceled in Panama City! By noon on our first full day, rain started and continued through most of the rest of the trip. We still had a good time, just different!
